Description

This Persian Sultanabad, or “Ziegler” carpet, as they are also known as, has been made in the tradition of the original 19th-century Sultanabad carpets. Like another Sultanabad on this website (see https://www.christopherleggeorientalcarpets.com/products/view/persian-sultanabad-carpet-2/ ), it has a palette of very pale, soft colours and a relatively open field with a generous design of leaves and florals.

The quality of the wool and dyes, all derived from natural dye stuffs, is excellent.

This is an elegant, understated room-size carpet.
