Shah Savan Jajim
Description
This ShahSavan Jajim dates to the second half of the 19th century.
Like all jajims, it is assembled from several narrow panels of flat weaves, in this case seven panels of around 27 cm width. The simplicity of the warp faced weave and the striking stripe design give this antique textile a sense of modernity. For other examples of this type on our website, see, for instance, https://www.christopherleggeorientalcarpets.com/products/view/shahsavan-jajim/ .
All colours, including a fabulous aubergine, are based on natural dyes. The material used is wool.
The jajim is in excellent condition and would make a great wall hanging or a cover for a bed or sofa.
