Pair of Original William Morris Curtains

Pair of Original William Morris Curtains

6'11'' x 3'9'' (top)/5'4'' (bottom)

This is a rare pair of original William Morris curtains in the Campion design.

The furnishing fabric with this pattern dates to 1883. The design was registered on 8 March of that year. It was actually designed by  British designer William Morris (1834 – 1896) for Morris & Co.  An example of this material is in the V&A Collection (see http://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O270833/campion-furnishing-fabric-morris-william/).

One of the curtains , which come from a manor house in Oxfordshire, is in good condition, the second curtain has some damage and would require conservation.
