Description

This antique Persian Karadja rug dates to around 1900.

It is a very sweet example of a northwest Persian village rug.

Woven in wool on a cotton foundation, it is in perfect condition, with a full pile. All colours are derived from natural dye stuffs. The size, too, is of  very desirable, almost completely square proportions.
