Description

This antique northeast Persian Mushwani Balouch rug dates to the late 19th century.

The colours are all naturally dyed, with an eye-catching electric blue that you can sometimes find in this type. It has beautiful abrash (variation in the colour) throughout.

It is woven in wool on a wool foundation. The condition is very good, with a few minor repairs in keeping with age, and the original kelim ends still intact.

This is a rug for the collector as well as for a carpet lover furnishing their home.
