Description

Kurdish bag face from the late 19 century. The field design is a classic Jaf pattern of a lattice of concentric diamonds which are hooked in the second layer and in the centre. One white diamond is standing out, which is a feature that can be characteristic of Jaf bags. Wool on a wool foundation, with great quality of wool and eight shades of jewel-like colours, all naturally dyed or undyed wool. The sides are slightly damaged, and there is some corrosion to the black, but otherwise the condition is very good.
