Contemporary Sultanabad carpet in the tradition of the 19th-century Persian Sultanabad carpets. They came to be known as “Ziegler carpets”, so named  after the Manchester company of Ziegler & Co., which was a major importer as well as producer of this type of decorative carpet with their open field of floral designs.
