We gave a well-received talk on Persian weavings to an audience of about 120 people on the occasion of a “Persia Day” organised by the Oxfordshire Women’s Institute.

Many questions were asked and material that we brought along handled and admired.

We are back from our summer break and are happy to announce that the first tranche of Christopher’s Private Collection of 50+ years is coming up for auction at Mallams, Oxford, on 9 September. The sale will contain mostly tribal weavings as well as textiles and will offer a chance to interested parties to acquire items of beauty, most of which have not been seen for decades.
