Restoration |

Repairs to rugs brought into the
gallery are undertaken in the workshop on the premises by experienced
repairer Jackie Capon. They range from general conservation to full-scale
restoration, depending on the customer’s needs and budget.
These will be discussed and an estimate given before the work starts.
The greatest care is then taken to match the colours (often dyed
specifically for the piece in hand), the quality of the wool and
the technique of the weave. |

Cleaning |

The gallery also provides a
cleaning service.
Again, customers are advised on the best way of dealing with the
rug and an estimate is given. |

| Consultation |
Free estimates and valuations (e.g. for insurance
purposes) are given on rugs brought into the gallery.
Customers can also get free advice on interior design questions,
including visits to their home within a reasonable distance from
the gallery. |

Search services |

The gallery
provides a search service for carpets not normally held in stock.
This service is useful not only for collectors but also to people
looking for replacements in insurance claims.
